Maayan Oppenheim is a free-spirited, touring and recording artist. She was born in San Francisco, raised in Tel Aviv and refined in New York City. Her band MAAYAN released their debut album, “Science Fiction” on her label Oppenheim Records. It features internationally known musicians and respected Israeli music producer Ofer Eckerling. The album has received radio airplay from New York to California and abroad in Israel. Maayan's songwriting and unique singing style have been praised by fans, influencers, and music industry organizations like the International Acoustic Music Awards. Maayan has written and recorded more than three albums worth of music. Her powerful vocals are influenced by the soulful sounds of Etta James and rock attitude of Led Zeppelin’s lead singer Robert Plant. As a folk singer-songwriter with a wide vocal range, she has been compared to Joni Mitchell. Maayan’s name means "spring water bursting from the ground,” in Hebrew. Similarly, her international music career has been powerful, flowing with creativity and poised to burst onto the scene with a refreshing new sound. She captivates crowds around the world with her powerful performances and magnetic positivity. Her catchy songs speak of love, inspiration, and travel. She performs solo accompanying herself on guitar, as well as with her four-piece band, which includes a drummer, bass, electric and acoustic guitar. When accompanied by her kickass band, they delivers a rebellious blend of Folk and Pop with Middle Eastern influences.
