Photography – Pittsburgh

When I was 14 I lost my mom to cancer. My mom was my best friend growing up. Her passing away my freshmen year of high school was really tough on me. I started to get depressed not having her in my life, I wasn't sure how to handle myself. I started to take art classes in school, and I really enjoyed them. I was good at them. I signed up for a photography class and fell in love with it instantly. I loved the class and learning. Photography was the one thing that pulled me out of my darkest time. I got my first camera at 16 and haven't put it down yet. Photography is my true love, and my true passion. I love being able to give someone confidence about themselves. I was never confident. I never liked the way I looked or dressed and when my mom passed away my confidence stopped existing. I love being able to give someone something that I have struggled to have my entire life. It's an incredible feeling.
