Visual Art – Detroit
I’m Madelyn, I go by Mads. I’m a 23 year old abstract artist from Detroit, Mi. I’ve been experimenting since I was 12 years old, even on my worst day you couldn’t catch me without something in my hands. I draw, sculpt and almost everything in between but I’ve found my home with acrylics. Canvas and clothing are my two favorite surfaces to get dirty on. I started seriously painting about 3 years ago while dealing with some inner demons, in painting I found my solace. I never really related to many subjects in school and my attention span didn’t really allow me to focus souly on one thing... that’s why art has such a hold on my heart, it is my happy medium. It’s where I can go with my multiple thought processes and feel at home.. my art is my thought process on canvas.
