Visual Art – Boise

After graduating from college with a double degree in art and English I taught both in the Michigan public schools for five years. I then went to work at a job that paid my bills and allowed me to pursue my art. I have always drawn and I will until my last day. I believe that drawing is basis of most art. I\'m told that I\'m a throwback in that I insist on doing it the old way. I don\'t use computers or other electronic means. I\'m asked why it matters if one is a purist. It matters in the same way that it matters that one shouldn\'t be allowed to use a Harley in the Tour de France. Yes, the object is to be the first to cross the line but it matters also how one gets there. Call me a dinosaur or a Luddite. I\'ll plead guilty.
