Maryia Arlova

Visual Art – Atlanta

I was born in USSR, but live in US now. I think being a part of two such different worlds gives me a unique perspective on things. I search for beauty in the broken and damaged, I see darkness in sunshine and flaws in perfection, I weld together pieces that contradict. I am always on the lookout for contrasting elements in our world. It is never just black and white. I am a self-taught artist. Art always was something I enjoyed doing and something I don’t see myself without. I use many different mediums: oil, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, ink and pencils; but lately I favor oils.
