Visual Art – San Diego

Art has always been an outlet for me. My Art is a visual journal, snapshots of my life, the people I meet, my dreams and sometimes my nightmares. The wood I’m currently working on serves as a reflection of me, my body and the pencil, my soul. Using imperfect wood and simple tools allows an atmosphere devoid of distractions where truth can flow and I feel comfort in letting go so I can continue to openly create. The freedom to share my Art creates awareness, understanding and strength in my own skin to move forward. Focusing on the process, I’m able to develop more depth in my drawing and continue to challenges myself with new tools, techniques and materials. Breaking my own mold and boundaries to share my personal life on wood, rather than in the journals I’ve filled up over the years was and continues to be my way of communicating and staying connected to the lives and stories of the creatures I meet along my adventures. It was never the intent, rather a therapy for myself. My emotional truth has set me free, my hope is that it does the same for you.
