Visual Art – Los Angeles

In 2008, I received my BFA with an emphasis in painting from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and then returned to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an exhibiting fine artist. My work addresses the relationship between psychological and physical feelings, stemming from my own experiences and imaginings as a hypochondriac and the daughter of a doctor. I combine human organs with inanimate objects to visualize various conditions that I have felt in the past. I am very intrigued by the fine line between the grotesque and the beautiful, as well as the relationship between the feelings of repulsion and intrigue. This is what attracts me most about the innards of the human body, in all of its disgusting glory.
