Visual Art – Raleigh

Ever since I could hold a pencil I was drawing. As a kid most of my free time was spent drawing ponies and wildlife...mostly ponies though, I was obsessed. As I got older I became interested in visual storytelling, which inspired me to pursue writing and broaden my artistic talent. Entering into my 20's was a confusing time for me as an artist. I felt that my abilities were confined to realism and I wanted to be a cartoonist. This led me to pursue my BFA in Media Arts and Animation. There I learned who I was as an artist and person. I love animation and want to stay within the industry but my true passion is drawing 2D backgrounds, illustrating, and character design. Currently I'm working on a couple of concepts for a comic and possible children's book while freelancing on the side. My goal is to one day publish my own series of illustrated novels for children and young adults!
