There is truth in that the fragmentation of society causes harmonious impossibility, but I feel only in recognizing the beauty of fragmentation can we begin to transcend it. I thrive in fragments and my makings tend to reflect that part of me. I decontextualize and reconstruct, but find great harmony in the process of the in-between. The intention behind my work is to evoke a combination of fragmented texture and/or fragmented colour, whether on an interpersonal level through the reflection of oneself on a matrix, or through the notion of chaotic cognitive processing. I find great contentment playing against the process of comfort. The notion that we can reduce chaos into smaller portions of chaos, reflectively gives us greater knowledge about that thing; almost like a ripple. As there is no end to reduction, we end up with complete randomness, utter chaos and beautiful, transcended unity.
