Accessories – New York - NYC

Immigrated from Ukraine in 1988 as Jewish refugees, my mom, dad and I started our life in New York City. My father is an artist, sculptor and restorer. I had absolutely no interest in his fired of work, even though I observed him working. My mom was a high way engineer, it took me a year to memorize the multiplication table , so this was also not On my "this is what I want to do when I grow up" list. So then the usual...high school drama, became a speech therapist, married my teacher, had a daughter, divorced my teacher, moved out and met some awesome people. I started painting out of the blue in 2013, when I looked at people's emotions and represented them as flowers reflecting each feeling. That's same year I met the love of my life, had a show at Agora Gallery, designed amazing silk scarves from my paintings with the help of my partner, had cancer and all that it entails, minus the dying part, wrote a book about it and now trying to share the joy of flowers and hope through my paintings and scarves.
