Visual Art – Phoenix
When I left on a plane for my very first showcase in Chicago four years ago, I knew I was making a big decision that would likely change the course of my life. I was offered a last-minute sponsorship for a personal booth at Chicago’s Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2), an opportunity that I knew I may never have again. Despite having zero experience showing my work in public and with no prior business experience, I chose in that moment to forfeit my fears and jump head-first into the world of art marketing.
Upon returning home to Tempe, Arizona, I quit my job and put my classes on hold to go forward with my lifelong dream of becoming known famously for my creations. Growing up I was told that artists don’t make much money, and in order to be successful I’d need to apply my creative interest to a “real” profession, like teaching or therapy. I knew I could never be put into a box and still feel true to myself, and I let this mentality of hopelessness keep me from my potential for so many years. My stubborn inner-self always wanted to prove everyone wrong, but it took so much time and effort to truly believe in myself. Sometimes, I still have doubts, but I know I have to remember who I am and what I truly love: art. No amount of failure or success will ever take that away from me. I am truly passionate about the color, emotion, depth, and beauty I want to add to this world.
I am SO excited to partner with RAW to show you my ink drawings, acrylic paintings, and mixed media illustrations. Each piece has been created with the purest emotion, my intention to reach and impact the spirits of others. I enjoy connecting to all of my supporters, because I believe the Universe brings us together for a higher purpose. Life is meant to be expressed with creativity; I highly look forward to sharing mine with you!
