Monica Grace Collins

Visual Art – Calgary

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Monica Grace Collins attended the University of Lethbridge with a BFA in New Media. She has worked in mediums such as cinematography, radio, digital visuals, exhibition design, and illustration and painting. Monica has worked as a production and costume designer on the LAMPS’16 (Lethbridge Alberta Motion Picture Showcase) award winning short film “Zombie Love”; as well as producing, directing, filming, and editing the documentary short film “Ataraxia” which was featured in LAMPS’17 in November. She has also produced, edited, filmed, and directed multiple videos for Kappa Beta Gamma International Sorority– Alpha Iota chapter. She has worked in conjunction with CKXU 88.3FM as an on air personality, graphic designer for social media postings, and as a videographer. Her cinematographic works includes, but is not limited to, working on a promotional film for the Love and Records 2017 Music Festival. She is also a 2017 SCIP (Serving Communities Internship Program) recipient working with CKXU to create, produce, and design the Live@CKXU 2017 album. She has also worked as a graphic designer for local southern Alberta band Rake Fight for CD art and designing their latest album “Home”. Monica’s personal work ranges through embroidery, ink work, acrylic painting, interactive programming, photography and illustration. She graduated from her undergraduate program in Spring 2018, and is currently seeking employment in many different areas of work.
