Moody Little Sister

Music – Portland

Equipped with only what would fit in the back of her truck and a desire to plant new roots in a town where music lives, Naomi Hooley\'s made the 3000 mile drive between Alaska and Portland almost three years ago. It would seem that some things are just meant to be. The chances of Naomi Hooley, from a small town in Alaska, meeting Rob Stroup, from a small town in Oregon, were pretty slim. But it happened... and from the moment they met it was clear they were destined to combine their abundant musical talents. Rob is the perfect producer, co-writer and band mate for Naomi’s melodic, energetic and thoughtful keyboard driven power pop. Naomi is a prolific song writer and with a unique style and vocal signature. The local press has called her voice “cool and powerful” and her songwriting “masterful”. She has that certain something that leaves audiences yelling for more and listeners hitting the replay button. Having produced some of Portland’s best bands for years, Rob knew the most talented musicians in town. When he played Naomi’s music for them they wanted to be a part of one of the most exciting bands to emerge from Portland in a long time, and Moody Little Sister was born. The group features Joe Mengis (Climber, Casey Neill) on drums, Tim Huggins (The Blame, Western Front) on bass, Bob Dunham (Nick Peets, Debra Arlyn) on guitar and Chris Robley.
