Visual Art – Houston

My artistic capabilities started around the age of four, and have progressed since. I spent Six years at Texas Tech for a bachelors in Visual studies. At the time I was also a volunteer art teacher for kindergarten, fourth graders, and second chance students. And have dabbled in all variations of \"art\" as a whole. A jack of artistic trades, and a master of none for the most part. Clay and Illustrations being my strongest suits. As artists we all have dreams, mine in particular is to be a children\'s book illustrator. Though I\'m no Maurice Sendak or Shel Silverstien, but I could be. Only time will tell. I spent the last two years of my life cutting out things that made me who I am. It has not been until recently, that I have been fighting tooth and nail to gain those things back. Art being primarily one of those many things. Currently at the moment I work for a large company, Not really doing what I love. But for the moment it helps keep my son and I afloat through life. My main concern is that if I do not push towards these dreams, he will grow up seeing his father as someone that was afraid to take that Leap of faith. Joining the RAW website is just one of the very many steps I have taken, to better not only my life but my sons\' as well. It is he and I vs. the World
