Visual Art – Jersey City
My name is Cat and I am an artist and environmental educator based out of New Jersey. I loved nature and creating things. So I\'ve dedicated my life to teaching environmental education and encouraging people to see the beauty all around them in our wold.
I create my art using recycled materials (in other words, things most people would consider garbage and throw away), such as paper paint swatches, old magazines, vinyl records, wine corks, bottle caps etc. By creating beautiful things out of these materials I try to help people see the world around them as less disposable. So many things our society considers \'garbage\' can be given a second life! My hope is that after seeing my art people are awakened to the beauty all around them and reconsider what is really garbage.
