Kari K. mixes, produces, engineers and publishes her own music with an impressive natural ability. She submersed herself completely into the music industry, working every gig from lighting, to audio engineering and producing because her passion goes beyond being a center-stage diva. Most recently, she won the 2011 RawAward for best Musician in Austin, Texas. In 2008, Kari took first place out of over 1,500 contestants in, "The Showcase,” which is Austin’s most competitive live vocalist competition. In 2010, Kari decided to take her vocal performance to the East Coast, where she toured with the A Capella group, 'The Aftershock' (Seen on America’s Got Talent). Currently Kari is finishing her self-titled solo album in Austin, Texas and focusing on writing in the studio. Kari now collaborates with BTG Records and currently conducts booking & promotions with Spyjet Zero Records. Other projects are in the near future, and Kari’s band mate J_Dub likes to describe the new sound as, “Daft Punk meets Aretha Franklin.” The first show is due to launch in January of 2012.
