Fashion – St. Louis

On May 3, 2005 i participated in an organized event were one of the local beauty colleges in St. Louis hired several stylist to beautify women from the homeless shelter. from that day on i knew that not only did God bless me with the ability to make women look pretty, but also the ability to transform and make them feel special again. So I began to design. I was taught by my grandmother, Mrs. Willie Lee Ivory, known in the south for her emasculate skills and detail. June 6, 2006 i through one of St.Louis biggest fashion shows at the downtown Hyatt Regency called \"Rep The Runway\", that showcased several designers including the debut of my own line that was once called Myjah! Even though the show was a success i still felt as though i wasn\'t ready i needed to study a bit more and perfect my craft. I took a 3 year hiatus from fashion, went through the loss of my grandmother, so it kept me very unmotivated until one day i heard a voice, and it said \"nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream\", it was the soft voice of my mom. In 2008 i resurfaced with my New line N9NE17, which is also my birth date. My grandmother and mom always said that on that day a star was born. I am a designaholic, i love to design and create looks, it truly is therapeutic for me.
