WHO SHE IS
A mixed medium Fiber/Textile Artist, born and raised in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, Tierra Buggs has been working and developing her skills as a fiber and textile artist since 2003. Initially, she began her studies at Morgan State University, obtaining a B.A. in Graphic Design and Fine Art. She has since furthered her knowledge of the fiber arts by traveling to Bali in 2006, attending an Indonesian textile tour, and obtaining her certification as a Crochet Instructor through the Craft Yarn Council of America. In 2009, she created Tenacious Tapestries, LLC, a traditional arts education and preservation company. Under this umbrella, she developed The Na\'Zeem Collection, a line of contemporary clothing and fashion accessories inspired by indigenous cultures across the globe.
