NJARTitecture

Visual Art – Washington, D.C.

Having grown up in the mountains of Western MD, I\'ve always kept a piece of that solitude and beauty with me as a source for inspiration in whatever I do, and wherever I live. Trained as an architect, and an artist my whole life, my paintings and creative work attempt to combine a history of layers that capture nuance, narrative and nostalgia through the combination of color, texture and form. I use my work to raise awareness of beauty, of a moral purpose, of social consciousness -- sometimes it is delicate, sometimes it is blatant, but always, it is a novel of it\'s own, waiting for the reader to unravel the story and discover themselves through it. I also make jewelry and other handmade objects which function as reminders of beauty and color in our every day life! I have been exhibiting professionally since 2002 throughout the US, and more recently, internationally. My art work is contributed regularly to charity, fund-raising and auction events for different causes. You can see my work for sale at shopnjartitecture.etsy.com. My next upcoming exhibition will be a solo show at BloomBars in Washington, D.C., from March 17-April 28, focusing on the healing of women who have been sexually abused.
