Performing Art – Chicago

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Noelle Kayser is a dance artist currently based in Chicago, IL. Noelle began her life splitting time between dance and theater. She began performing alongside her father in the Alliance Theater’s production of 'A Christmas Carol' and 'Degas Little Dancer'. Other Atlanta theater credits include Phillip Depoy’s 'Preacher from the Black Lagoon', Theater of the Stars production of 'Annie', and Scrap Theater Group’s one woman show 'Leda'. In addition to the theater, Noelle has narrated 16 audiobooks for audible.com and Listen Up Productions. Noelle began her professional dance career as an apprentice with Chicago’s Luna Negra Dance Theatre under the direction of Gustavo Ramirez Sansano. During her apprenticeship, she performed the company’s work both nationally and internationally. Noelle has also danced in Chicago Shakespeare Theatre’s production of 'Timon of Athens'. Returning to Atlanta in 2013, Noelle joined Lauri Stallings collaborative performance platform glo. Other Atlanta dance credits include the Proia Dance Project, Gathering Wild, Erik Thurmond’s 'Ripple', and Jonathan Bouknight’s film 'Nightingales' commissioned by The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia. Noelle again relocated to Chicago in 2015 to join Visceral Dance Chicago under the direction of Nick Pupillo. Visceral has afforded Noelle the opportunity to perform in works created by Marguerite Donlon, Mark Godden, Monica Cervantes, Brian Enos, and Nick Pupillo. Noelle has also appeared as a guest artist in Anna Long’s 'Hark' which has been presented in both Chicago and New York. From 2015 up to the present, Noelle has begun to explore who she is as a creator. She has presented two works for Visceral Dance Chicago’s production of WITHIN, 'Boys of Paradise' and 'The Linemen Wright'. Additionally, she has begun a long term collaboration with fellow Atlanta Native, composer, and filmmaker Chris Hunt. Noelle has also had the opportunity to assist Stephanie Martinez and Wilfredo Rivera with their creations on Chicago’s Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre.
