I've been told by many that I am an opportunist - albeit, a very dorky opportunist. I typically have a crystal in my pocket or in my bag when I walk out of the door in the morning. Okay, more like 3 or 4.. or 8. They are always the interesting conversation pieces or, who knows? I may find a fountain to take a picture in . Science, literature, and an open mind have dictated my life for as long as I can remember. It was always, "Read a book" or "Tell me something interesting you learned". Unsurprising to most, writing has always been my biggest love, but second to that, crystals, the universe, and all the secrets it has to hold. As a kid, my Dad used to tell me about constellations and telescopes and why lasers would never work in space. He used to tell me about particles and neutrons and a theory that everything is in constant motion - some things move faster or slower than other things and there is speculation that you may be able to harness that energy. He also had a geode that I used to study and admire and that drove me to learn about crystals and start a collection of my own. I started out with the pretty, colorful ones (that were generally dyed) and it progressed into the natural rocks and crystals that dominate my shop. About a year ago, I decided that I would share my passion with a wider audience than the select few that have (thankfully) tolerated my collection. I tie in crystals, the energy and science behind them, and writing - I get to tell a story about whatever I pick up, where it comes from, and any uses for alternative therapies it may hold.
