Jessica Feeney

I am a self taught artist. Coming from an artist family, creative expression was always encouraged. I have never taken an official art class or attended art school. Everything I know about art and technique I have learned from my Mother who is a professional artist. Wherever I go I always have the desire to create. Painting awakens me. It calms me. My painting style is colorful with abstract subjects and I love incorporating lots of texture. I love playing around and trying out new techniques with new mediums as well. Over the last ten years I have lived in Arkansas, Alaska, Colorado and Illinois. Finally landing in Chicago in 2012. Since then I have felt God encouraging me to branch out from painting as a hobby to painting as my calling. I desire for people to be uplifted when they look at my work. I find inspiration everywhere, mainly in creation, I like to paint colorful landscapes, sunsets, ocean scenes, fruit, and flowers.
