Accessories – Seattle

I love to create! I have dabbled in many art mediums, but I mostly focus my creative juices in jewelry making. A few years ago, I decided to take my hobby more seriously and use it as a medium to express myself. I often find myself daydreaming of traveling the world. I think that growing up with the muted tones of the desert created a void in me for more vibrancy. I long for places and cultures with an explosion of color, music, dance, aroma, language, and people, so I try to create these feelings in my pieces. It may be a piece that reminds me of a yummy color palette from a "papaya con leche batido" I had in Costa Rica, or a piece that I want to embody a warm, Old World feel. I want my pieces to transport their bearer to a happy place, whether it is one I convey to them through the piece, or their own personal connection with it. I gather my materials from various resources: gem and mineral conventions, local bead and jewelry shops, online vendors, and some pieces incorporate upcycled treasures that I’ve found.
