Accessories – St. Louis

Erin Pazderka is a dancer and choreographer who uses metal, stones and glass to speak the permanence that movement lacks. Influenced by topics such as psychology, meta-consciousness and inner child, Erin’s work speaks to a universal truth that one’s subconscious inclinations do not always fit within the small spectrum of societal standards. Because of this, moments of existence are often displeasing and misleading but there exists a simplistic, poetic undertone of the human spirit - the inner child - that remains, though often underdeveloped. This inner voice is the true essence of a person and it is the stem of all creativity. When a person is able to divert their focus and energy from society's ideals and instead to their own inner inclinations, the result is a unique expression and celebration of soul rather than a regurgitation of societal expectation.
