Visual Art – Brisbane

My work utilizes precious and non-precious metals, developed for small sculpture, wearable art and contemporary jewellery. I predominantly work in silver, titanium, and copper to generate a balance of texture, surface, weight and colour. I have a great interest in the human mind, as a filter through which we all interpret our surroundings, from our place within society to our place within the universe. I do not mean this in a spiritual or religious sense, but in a way that is literal and tangible. I am fascinated by the way we interact and form relationships, by the way we manage and conduct our lives, and how we develop and co-exist in a world becoming ever more self-aware: of the individual mind, of global concerns, and of our own position in this seemingly infinite and expanding field of space. Working in metal is my way of visualising and reconstructing these ideas.
