I am Blaine Lunsford, creator of Prairie Honey Creative . I make ecological garments by using plant dyes on natural fibers and accessories, such as feather earrings, from conservation efforts or forest bi products. The Plant dyes I use vary from the raw material itself to imported extracts such as Indian Indigo and garments are created from several different methods. I particularly love shibori folding techniques and bundle dying. Some garments are upcycled and refashioned from used textiles, while others are produced on new natural fibers like silk lingerie. I love the idea of fashion being an ecological effort and slowly produced rather than fast and wasteful. Garments are meant to be loved, adored & environmentally friendly instead of used once, thrown away & synthetic. Step into a world of natural color and nature made adornments with me!
