Accessories – Toronto

I am a multidisciplinary visual artist working in painting, drawing, sculpture, print making, design and photography. Since completing my formal education my work has been showcased at Blackwood Gallery, Justina M. Barnicke Gallery, Theatre Erindale, SOCAD Gallery, Atmosphere Gallery, Durham Art Gallery and Burning Man. I have also worked on large scale artist collaborations with The Fabulous Festival of Fringe Films, Frolick Theatre, BurnT and Sketch. Like countless others, I have struggled to find my niche and worked a variety of 9-5 jobs while trying to figure out how to "make it" as an artist. In 2010, I worked at the Bancroft Mineral Museum and Tourism Centre, where I cultivated an interest in geology. Working closely with geologists at local mining sites, I started collecting mineral and gemstone specimens out of personal interest and this obsession eventually trickled into my artwork. My background work doing costume and prop design ultimately led me to focus on creating wearable one of a kind artwork.
