Rachel A. Troche

Photography – Washington, D.C.

In one form or another, I\'ve always had a camera in my hands. I believe in harnessing emotion and telling stories through visual imagery, both still and moving. My background in film has helped me create a cinematic feel within the frame of each of my photographs. Self portraiture has provided an emotional and creative outlet for me, and has allowed me to experiment with different concepts, posing, and editing techniques. My work has been featured in The Photo Review, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and Fifth Wednesday Journal. Currently, I am working on a new self portrait series exploring my interpretation of Beatles lyrics as an adult - what they mean to me now versus when I was a child and first started listening to them. Several pieces from this series will be on display at the RAW Showcase. See more at www.rachelatroche.com
