Roxanne Zidell

I\'m just girl in LA , I\'m a painter and I like to paint drippy heads, long walks in the toy store, breaking my toys and turning them into sad creatures. I use all kinds of mediums, ones that I find fun to play with. I use everything from crayons, finger paint, magic markers to oils. I make art that is probably unbecoming to me, I appear to very sweet and the art I do is all but sweet. My art is bratty, evil-minded and often times inappropriate. I was trained as an oil painter and dismissed it all after getting bored. I get frustrated and end up creating things that are eye popping because for me it\'s exciting and it makes it fun for me. It\'s a really amazing feeling to see grown men wear a \'Dead Little Pony Headband\' with a big smile AND I took his picture of it. By day I am suited up at the law firm and by night I am in the Roxanne Zidell\'s Distressed Toy factory making broken toys for all the peculiar little girls and boys. Love, Roxanne Zidell
