Running Wild Films

Film – Phoenix

Running Wild Films is committed to developing local film in Arizona. Gus Edwards (playwright and film professor) and Travis Mills founded the company in June 2010 with the vision to building an indigenous cinema with actors and crew from Arizona, highlighting local businesses, music and arts, and telling Arizona stories. From the beginning, we set a standard of making movies at a fast pace with small budgets, while focusing on good storytelling. In three years, we have produced more than twenty-five short films and four full-length movies. We are currently working on making 52 short films in 52 weeks during 2013. All 52 films are adaptations of public domain short stories by authors such as James Joyce and Edgar Allan Poe, and are set in present day Arizona. The films will be completed in 2013 and screened in early 2014.
