Music – Nashville

Safari Room is a 4-piece indie rock band from Nashville, TN. Assembled in 2015 to record an EP released at the tail end of the following year, it wasn’t until 2018 Alec Koukol (songwriter / lead vocalist / guitarist) decided to put the band on stage. Following that decision, Actual Feelings - EP, was created. The recording was completed in early 2018 and released in the summer. Surrounding the release of the EP in July, the band has played all over Nashville to cultivate an audience. Safari Room is currently composed of Koukol, Emma Lambiase (bass / vocals), Chris Collier (guitar) and Austin Drewry (drums). On November 2, the band released their follow-up single, Around the Bend. This was then followed by their newest single, One Day Here, released on February 1st. With this material in hand, they seek to fill 2019 with shows in Nashville and the surrounding area. With ambient soundscapes, intricate rhythms, baritone-led, falsetto vocals, crunchy guitars, and introspective lyrical content, the band’s sound has been compared to The National, Grizzly Bear and Elbow.
