Samantha Relihan

Visual Art – Sydney

Samantha Relihan is a Arts Educator based in Sydney, Australia. Trained in Primary teaching and with a Diploma in Visual Arts, Samantha decided to combine her two passions and dedicate her career to promoting arts education within stimulating and collaborative environments. After living in Brisbane and working at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Samantha soon realised the different possibilities and avenues she could take her career. Over the last 6 years, Samantha has worked in public programs and creative learning, assisting with the delivery and development of engaging children's programming. Samantha currently works in Sydney and interstate, running regular workshops and events for Galleries and Museums including Caloundra Regional Gallery, Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) and Campbelltown Art Centre. You will also find her assisting at the Children's Gallery at Ipswich Art Gallery during school holiday periods. With the workshops she runs, Samantha focuses on creating immersive art experiences for children and works in the mediums of recycled materials, watercolour, felt crafts and cartoon illustration. She is also is developing installation works that invite participants to collaborate with her to build environments together.
