Visual Art – Boise

In my youth I drew inspiration from comic books and graphic novels. Around the same time I got sucked into video games. Primarily games like Tomb Raider and Civilization. Maybe some Command and Conquer here and there. Always, I picked my games and my comics based on the visual impact and ingenuity that went into creating them. Viewing games as interactive movies, in which art, technology, and story were fused together, I was hooked and wanted to find a way in for real. In 2010 I graduated with my BFA in Illustration from Boise State University. Since then I have been doing freelance work and exhibiting around Boise as I build my portfolio and figure out what to do next. Last year I attended some online classes through the Academy of Art University as I prepared to pursue a masters degree in Illustration with an emphasis on Concept Art. What I was not thoroughly prepared for was the bill. So that is on hold for now. Now its just time to survive.
