2005 - the inner photographer arrived: This was the year
goddess Fortuna spun her wheel and my passion as a photographer was
soundly produced. I landed a job as an assistant at a local photography
studio in my hometown, Port Arthur, TX. I had just graduated high
school and was awaiting my first semester in college, so this was right
on time. With this job, I was able to take a deeper look into the \"eye of
photography\", through a lens. I knew then, that would be more than a
hobby in my future.
2010 - Dying Passion: This was the year my mother lost her fight
against breast cancer. That journey from beginning to end, was what
contributed to everything that I am today. During that trying experience,
I was encouraged to begin capturing the last moments somehow by one
of my life/photography mentors, Detra Jackson(Detra Jackson Photography)That\'s exactly what I did, captured those moments. From
then on, I was eager to capture life as it happens, once shot at a time!
2012-15 Capturing Serenity: Slight fast forward.. I relocated from
Baytown TX to Austin, TX in 2012. Serene Impressions was founded on
April 5, 2013 and launched to the media on my birthday, July 11, 2013. I
have since then went back to college to obtain an extended degree in
photographic technology.
