Performing Art – Washington, D.C.

Shannon grew up in and around Atlanta, Georgia, where she cultivated a passion for music, dance and artistry. She has been trained in ballet and tap since the age of four. Shannon began singing in her church and school choir at the age of six, and began dancing competitively in jazz, hip-hop and tap at age seven. Shannon danced competitively until the age of 15, where she gained experience from dancing 6 days a week and traveling across the country to compete. At the age of 16, Shannon's stage transformed into a stadium, where she became the captain of her award winning high school dance line through high school. As a freshman at Howard University, Shannon became a Bison cheerleader, where she perfected her gymnastics and tumbling skills. She cheered for football, basketball and competitively for 3 years.Shannon also joined a hip-hop performance group started on Howard's Campus in 2007. Within a year, Shannon became one of two Artistic Directors for R.A.M.P.A.G.E performance group. Shannon graduated from Howard University with a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism and a minor in Theatre Arts . Shannon is currently an Arts educator while dancing professionally in and around Washington, DC. Over the past 6 years, Shannon has worked with various local DMV artists and performers, choreographing and dancing in concept videos, music videos and live shows and showcases. Shannon has danced with DMV's own R&B sensation Mya and RuPaul's Drag Race superstar Tatiana and award-winning gospel artist Anthony Brown. Shannon White
