Visual Art – Ottawa
Ron Matton grew up in the Ottawa area, and has been a professional firefighter for more than 25 years. Interested in woodworking and metalworking most of his life, Ron has nurtured his creative side through building houses, making unique furniture pieces, either from wood or metal, or both, and is now more focused on the creation of unique and unusual metal sculptures. His work has drawn much attention, and he has been featured on CTV’s Regional Contact, CTV\'s Morning Show, the Ottawa Citizen\'s One in a Million series and just recently The DJ Demers Show. He does custom work and often injects a bit of humor into his creations.
