Steph Jolly

It's been a whirlwind couple of months for Adelaide singer/songwriter Steph Jolly aka Songbird. Having left the laid back country town for the hustle and bustle of the city, it's been all systems go. Juggling work, study and a heightened passion for songwriting has been hard work but also extremely rewarding personally, professionally and most pleasingly musically. Plying her trade in city bars has honed her craft by building her confidence and helping her create and develop the stage persona that is Songbird. Steph's first Single "Street Walker", recorded independently, has received rave reviews locally and grabbed the attention of publicists all across the country. This success has also led to regular performances on the en vogue and lucrative Winery circuit in Mclaren Vale where she is now very much in demand, thanks to her gentle,yet powerful vocals and warm, inviting presence. Combining with the intricate yet melodious style of guitarist and friend Michael Collins, this duo is one of the freshest acts to come out of Adelaide in a long time. If growing up on the coast of the picturesque Yorke Peninsula taught Steph to appreciate the beauty of life, moving to the concrete jungle of the city has shown her the other side of the spectrum, and it is evident in their first release Street Walker.
