Visual Art – Chicago

I use art to express what I feel that I can not fully explain. I do this through painting, drawing, and scratch board. I am able to find considerable benefit in artistic expression and the sharing of that experience. I use color and black/gray tones in order to contrast the realities of life and death, or merely the darker nature to human existence. My goal is to illuminate the differences between the comfort of the warmth of life and the dark realities that hide in the shadows, and the inevitable end of life. However, I don't see death as an end to existence. It is simply a new, completely unknown journey. I seek to express these nuances of human existence that can't necessarily be explained in words. The emotions that dictate our lives, our fears, our loves, and the complexity of our thoughts.
