Ten Minute Detour is a rock band, plain and simple.Their sound is loud and emotional. Their tone emanates the roughness of classic rock and 90’s grunge, but with a youthful indie garage rock energy that’s saturated all throughout. This four-piece group, from Calgary AB, is made up of two guitars, a bass and drums. Andrew Shier’s powerful and dynamic vocals lead the way with their steady strength, natural distortion and raw uniqueness. Jordan MacNeil’s lead guitar rings out with an evident classic rock vibe, while maintaining its own distinctive tone and enticing style. Mike Stokes’ bass adds an unmistakable depth and groove to each track, and radiates a classic rock funk that glues all the instruments together. And last but certainly not least, Shane Hogg’s heavy hitting drums stand strong as the pillar of support in every song.
