Photography – Richmond
My name is Alexandria, but you can call me Alex.
I am a Virginia based photographer (originally from Minnesota), but I love to travel! Though I specialize in photography I love all forms of art. I started my creative journey with drawing and soon realized that there is whole world of different mediums I can use! I enjoy sewing, interior design, leather work, floral design, and painting as well as photography. I have had the chance to take several different types of drawing and painting classes and find that many of the things I learned could be applied to all areas of art. As for photography, I’ve spent a lot of time reading books, and watching lectures and tutorials. I’m always striving to learn and keep up with current trends. Most importantly, I’ve had some great photographers whom I admire spend time mentoring me. I’ve had 6+ years of experience photographing nature, animals, and people and have done many weddings, graduation, individual and family photos. Recently though I have really turned my focus to Fine Art, Conceptual photography and have absolutely fallen in love with it. It has opened so many doors to meet and work this some truly amazing people as well as allowed me to express myself and my thoughts in a way I never thought was possible.
I love being different and doing things that are unique. Give me something that says "one of a Kind" on it and I'm sold! That is why I’m so passionate about taking pictures of my clients in a way that is distinctive to them and shows the world their true beauty and what makes them special.
My ultimate goal is to use the gifts that God has given me so that when people see my work they will be inspired.
