Atlantis

The Mermaid Atlantis is an aquatic performer, costume designer, model, actor, and artist. As a mermaid she can dive to depth of 50 feet and hold her breath for up to 2.5 minutes! She has performed all over the country, and most recently in Hawaii. She often donates her time to charitable organizations, and loves to make children smile. You can find her in the children\'s hospital, tail and all, reading stories to the kids. As a human, she holds a degree in Costume Design, from FIDM in San Francisco. That is where she gained the skills need to create her own functional mermaid tails. From design to construction, this siren does it all. Using mixed media, she even makes her own make up effects. Including her trademark silicone sea shells! As a designer she has worked for local theater companies, bridal, fine tailoring, and even safety gear making fireman\'s flame retardant uniforms. But, her true passion lies in joining function and fashion, and bringing forth the strange creatures that play in her mind\'s eye. She is determined to bring a bit of surrealism into this realm.
