Putting their own indie emo spin on surf rock, this band has gone from unknown to a local sensation in merely 6 months. Blending influences from The Vaccines to Modern Baseball to Death Cab for Cutie and The Beach Boys, results in a fusion of catchy instrumentals with rhythmic guitar, funky bass lines, and unique drum grooves. Filled with plenty of harmonies, nanas, and ooh-bop-bops, the vocals are both fun and engaging. With pop/rock centered melodies and intricate, metaphorical, and relatable lyrics, the music allows the listener to enjoy at face value as well as on a deeper level. Capturing their live sound and the best the band has to offer (yet) is their newest, and first full length record, A little sad… but kinda rad?
