The Rev's Denim

Fashion – Nashville

Barbara Woods Riles Washington was born in Cleveland, OH and began design in denim as a student at Tennessee State University in 1974. My work includes an aged copy of an interview article published in the June 15, 1975 Nashville Tennessean Newspaper titled "Denim Just Won't Fade Away". I am now, after 40 years of Ministry, returning to designing Denim. I Started with the September 2015 African Street Festival here in Nashville. The success was so encouraging that I continued for the May 2016 Malcolm X Festival in Atlanta. A Young Man from M9MD TV walked up and asked for an interview. This Interview, along with additional Look-Book pictures of current Designs and The Tennessean Article are now a part of the "FaceBook" Page. I have now begun the "Runway Experiece" and have catalogued the Looks that I have shown as a Designer in Four 2017 Nashville Fashion Shows to include my own vision: "Nashville Fashion Week on Jefferson Street" where I showed 32 Looks on April 9, 2017. I am certain that my One of a Kind, Ready-to-wear all Original Denim Designs would bring a unique flair to your Show. I am convinced of the level of creativity in these designs and am seeking just the right platform for bringing it into the Marketplace.
