Visual Art – Los Angeles

Tina Chavez grew up in New Mexico and in 2004, she headed west for Los Angeles. After living in LA for a few years, she tirelessly focused her energy on her drawing skills, specifically in portraiture. She began attending various classes and workshops with artists she highly respects, such as American artists Casey Baugh, Sean Cheetham and Emilio Villalba where she learned valuable skills that would help get her work noticed in and around Los Angeles. In 2016, she was asked by Branded Arts to participate in a group show at the RFK Community Schools in Los Angeles where she exhibited alongside notable artists such as Shepard Fairey and Ben Eine. She has also created album artwork for two up and coming LA bands and her work can now be seen on Pandora and Spotify. Inspired by her favorite artists Edgar Degas, Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet, Tina creates drawings and paintings that fuse dreamy portraiture and narratives with an “Impressionistic” imagery teetering between reverie and realism.
