Titus Marques

Titus Marques is a Portuguese American visual artist. He was born in Rockport, ME and grew up in various parts of Richmond, VA. In May of 2012 he finished a B.S.Ed. from Longwood University where, while enrolled, began to study art independently. After graduation Marques spent ten weeks in Europe connecting with his Portuguese heritage and visiting other countries. His intense love for creating only grew stronger after this experience which included everything from visiting museums to selling handmade items around the Rua Augusta Arch in the heart of Lisbon. Upon returning to the United States, Marques gave up any ideas about a career in teaching and began to pursue art full-time. Titus Marques currently lives and works in Richmond, VA.
