“They say you can’t make a star. I disagree. I say you can’t be a star if you got disbelief” Disbelief is not in the vocabulary of the 25 year-old MC, Tor1n. The Louisiana born, Dallas raised rapper’s confidence consistently explodes on the track. Inspired by hip-hop powerhouses like Method Man, J. Cole and T.I., Tor1n’s raspy vocals over percussion driven melodies, pair with hard hitting lyrics to deliver a unique and refreshing sound. Tor1n discovered his passion for music at an early age, writing his first verse at the mere age of 6. Though music remained his heart, Tor1n spent his teenage years focused on athletics and became a highly award track star. At 23, he decided to recommit himself to the music bring the same intensity and competitiveness to rapping as he did to running. In 2017, Tor1n independently released his debut project, A Night at the Movies (ANATM), a compilation of multilayered, self-love rap ballads. ANATM is a transparent and honest soundtrack of Tor1n’s life thus far. The 12 song mixtape shows that Tor1n is not only coming out of the blocks with power, but that he has the talent and commitment to be trailblazer and star in the hip-hop game.
