Melbourne indie-pop darlings, Tully on Tully, have been playing together, honing their craft since 2011. Stemming from lyricist Natalie Foster\'s innate ability to write a catchy melody, Tully on Tully brings together delicate indie-pop tunes and infectious hooks with all the heart-warming sensibilities of a full-piece band. Capturing the imagination of the listener with romantic stories and poetic imagery, the group\'s music delves into the world of longing and nostalgia - featuring unexpectedly dark lyrics.
Tully on Tully’s first single \'Hard to Breathe\' gained Single of the Week accolades in Beat Magazine and landed the band FBi Radio\'s Unsigned Artist of the Week. Follow up single \'Naked\' was delivered with a beautiful video clip and the track received an official addition at triple j and support at community radio.
Kicking off to a great start 2013 has seen Tully on Tully awarded the triple j Unearthed prize to play at Melbourne\'s all ages Push Over Festival and not long after the band were invited to perform in Manila, Philippines at Wanderland Festival along with Temper Trap, Nada Surf and Neon Trees. Having supported the likes of Whitley, Deep Sea Arcade and Buckley Ward, Tully on Tully’s live shows have been described as mesmerising, with audiences completely falling for the intrinsic song writing, spiralling guitar work and stunning vocal delivery.
Mid August saw the independent release of debut EP ‘Weightless’ landing a feature spot at both Triple R and ABC DIG.
