Visual Art – Toronto
Vanessa Giorgio is an artist who doesn’t confine herself to one medium of expression. Upon attending York University for Fine Art and completing her Digital Art studies at Toronto School of Art, her creativity blossomed allowing her to venture into different styles. While always an Acrylic Painter, she began to dabble in Oil and Mixed Media. Currently, Photography and Graphic Design have become an integral part of her creative process. She has created a diverse body of work, largely influenced by her love for dance. As a dancer herself, Art allows her to translate the fluidity and movements that inspire her on a daily basis. Her works attempt to capture the mind when in a state of non-thinking; and create an atmosphere that simulates a loss of reality and ones imagination running wild. To add an extra dimension, she uses light sensitive paints that react under UV light to create a duality in most of her works. Vanessa has exhibited her work at multiple events in Toronto and she continues to work as a photographer throughout the GTA.
