Visual Art – Indianapolis

I was born into an Egyptian family affiliated with an uncompromising religion that had strict, deep-seated standards and morals which hindered any kind of self expression. I was repeatedly shamed for expressing myself and for trying to pursue a career in the Arts. In recent years, I finally broke free from the suppression and express myself through visual art. I am a self-taught multimedia artist, whose work delves into techniques and theories of Neo-Impressionism while exploring the creative possibilities of my unconscious mind through Surrealism. My mediums of choice mainly include-but are not limited to-colored pencil, ink, pastels and watercolor paint.
