Photography – Gold Coast
My name is Wesley McNeil. I'm 28 years old and have had a fire in my heart that burns fierce for photography for over 10 years now. I brought my first digital camera with money from my first job when I was 15, a Kodak DX6490, I'll never forget it. A compact digital camera with a 10x optical zoom, manual mode, perfect for what I was after and most importantly it fit the budget! I was in love from the first image I shot. I grew up looking at my parents photo albums, watching them change as they aged, seeing what they saw, the landscapes, the faces of there friends and there experiences. Looking at photos of myself and my sister growing up, how our bodies changed, how we grew up and how we changed. I'm not sure what words to use to describe those feelings and emotions but it was incredible and inspiring. I wanted my children to be able to look back on my life and watch me grow up with my friends and see the things that I saw.... And that's how it all started for me.
